Mr.Naveen T.S. working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, ACS College of Engineering, Bengaluru has completed masters in Biomedical Signal Processing and Instrumentation and is currently pursuing Ph.D.  His interest towards wildlife photography skills, started from a young age where he spent a lot of time being one with nature. He used to observe the behavior of birds even as a youngster.

His keen interest towards studying the behavior of animals, birds and reptiles, made him to visit various national parks , forests, lakes and hills nearby. Photographing animals, birds and reptiles in their natural environment has helped him for  better understanding of their behavior which allowed him to polish his photography skills by getting into their personal lives to learn about  their natural habitat.

Those early encounters with nature acted as a platform for his journey to become a wildlife photographer. He used the medium of photography as a method to capture beautiful things that  witness beauty of nature, Placing a lens around something he has seen, described the true beauty of the image which the words failed to describe.

Hugely inspired by many passionate nature photographers like Andy Rouse, David Lloyd , Nick Brandt ,David Yarrow , Isak Pretorious , Burrard Lucas, Sudhir Shivaram, Rathika Ramaswamy ,Thomas Vijayan, Satish H,  Krishna Bhat and Digwas Bellemane to name a few. His day does not end without looking at and learning from their work.

Through this wonderful passion he is now able to identify different species of birds, reptiles etc.

He is a proud  member of  Youth Photographic Society Bengaluru (YPS), and Photographic Society of America (PSA). He enthusiastically participates  in various National and International Salons and his works have been exhibited  in over 12 countries have more than 75 International acceptances which is recognized by various professional bodies across the globe such as Federation of Indian Photography(FIP), Federation of Internationale de L’art Photographique (FIAP),Photographic Society of America (PSA),Global Photographic Union (GPU), International Union of Photographers China (IUP), Image Colleague Society (ICS) and  Image Sans Frontiere (ISF) , Master of Light (MOL) etc.

His accomplishments are :

1. Winner of Photographic Society of America’s  Bronze medal (PSA Bronze) for the image titled “Beauty and the Beast” under nature section  in photo contest New York Brooklyn 2018.

2.Certificate of  Merit for the image titled ” Beauty and the Beast”  under nature section from “Wildlife Photography Association of India” for  Best India Circuit 2018.

3. Exhibited two images in “2nd International Art Photographic Salon Varadinum-2018”,Romania.

4.Invited for a talk on “Various aspects of photography” at IIT Delhi, January 2019.

5. Image titled “Three for Tango” entered the top 28% best photos of the contest “Wild animals in winter” by 35 awards.
6. Invited to serve as a judge for photography competition in State Level Cultural and Management Fest”Marvella-2017″ Sheshadripuram Academy of Business Studies, Bengaluru.

7.Images were exhibited at Chitrakala Parishath during Saral Jeevan Photography Awards 2017.

8.Invited to serve as a judge for a Photography competition at Surana PG college ,Bengaluru.

As a responsible wildlife photographer , he captures images as seen on the ground and he always maintain certain distance from the subject. He doesn’t disturb the behavior of the subject and does not encourage nesting photography or endorse the use of direct flash or bait for the sake of a single photograph.
