Jovana was born in Belgrade in 1979. She graduated from the Faculty of
Philology in General literature and theory of literature.

She took her first steps in photography as a kid with her father and
then continued the journey of learning as a journalist and photo
reporter. A few years ago, she became interested in more artistic
forms of photography and has been experimenting with poetic forms of
expression, both in composition and in themes. She is also a
passionate traveler, so her photos often depict faraway places,
people, and unusual sights.

She is working as a translator and journalist and also has several
published poetry collections and a published novel. Her love for
literature often influences her photography, trying to make both the
subject and the composition resemble poetry or short stories.

Jovana is a proud member of the Serbian Photo Association and Photo
Club Beograd. Her photographs have been awarded and presented in
multiple national and international photography competitions and
festivals.
